matt murphyHonesdale, PA- Jim Donnelly, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wayne Bank, is pleased to announce the promotion of Matthew Murphy to Vice President and Residential Mortgage Fulfillment Manager.

In his new position, Murphy will oversee mortgage fulfillment, underwriting, processing, and documentation for the department. Additionally, he will provide leadership to Wayne Bank’s Residential Mortgage back-office team.

Murphy joined the Bank in 2015 as a Mortgage Loan Originator and held the position of Mortgage Underwriter.

Mr. Donnelly stated, “Matt is well-deserving of this promotion, and has shown great leadership during his nine-year tenure with the Bank. His expertise with taking a mortgage loan from application to close, and inside understanding of the varied types of home loans we offer, from construction to first-time home buyer, has made him an invaluable member of our team.”

Murphy holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Finger Lakes Community College. He and his wife, Jamie, have two daughters, Grace and Alexis.
