Wayne Bank Announces Promotion at its Effort Community Office

Honesdale, PA- Jim Donnelly, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wayne Bank, is pleased to announce the promotion of Douglas Atherton to Vice President and Monroe County Regional Manager.

Atherton, who started with the Bank in 2009, will provide leadership and support to Wayne Bank’s four Monroe County Office locations in his new role. He will also continue to oversee the daily operations of the Effort Community Office location.

According to Mr. Donnelly, “During his impressive tenure with Wayne Bank, Doug has proven to be a wonderful leader who is committed to his customers and staff. As the Effort Community Office Manager since 2011, he is truly a fixture in the local community. This promotion will allow Doug to share his strengths with our entire Monroe County market.”

Atherton is a graduate of the American Institute of Banking and Leadership Pocono. He resides in Effort, PA, with his wife. They have two sons.
