Honesdale, PA- Wayne Bank recently celebrated the retirement of Scott White, President of Bank of Cooperstown, with a retirement party hosted at the Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, New York.
“Scott’s leadership over the past 18 years has been instrumental in the success of the Bank of Cooperstown. He has been an irreplaceable member of the team and his commitment to improvement and growth will continue to inspire all our employees. On behalf of Wayne Bank, I extend my heartfelt appreciation for his years of service and wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement,” said Jim Donnelly, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wayne Bank.
White has served the banking industry for over 43 years, leaving his mark on Wayne Bank, and many more throughout his career. He joined the industry in 1982 as a commercial loan officer, directly after graduating college. During his tenure, White has played a transformational role in the growth and development of various banks and office locations. Bank of Cooperstown, now a unit of Wayne Bank which he helped start 18 years ago, owes much of its success to White’s drive and passion for business development.
White is a graduate of Cornell University, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Business in 1982. He also completed the American Bankers Association’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking, receiving a Stonier Diploma and Wharton Leadership Certificate in 1993. White is a dedicated member of his community, currently serving as treasurer of the Community Foundation of Otsego County, board member of New York Mutual Insurance Company, and former vice chairman of the Delaware County Economic Development Agency.
“I am truly grateful for the incredible send-off and for the many friendships I’ve built over the past 18 years at the Bank of Cooperstown. It has been an honor to serve our customers and work alongside such a dedicated team. Together, we’ve grown the bank into something special, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my journey – I will always cherish the memories and the support of this wonderful community,” said White.
