Trust Management
A trust can be established to meet a variety of specific objectives, which include the following:
- Minimize taxes
- Provide investment management
- Protection in the event of incapacity
- Security for your family
- Support a charitable organization
A trust for your protection and benefit, and that of your heirs, may be created during your lifetime or under the terms of your Last Will and Testament. The trustee’s task is one of long-term management undertaken in accordance with the provisions contained in the Trust Agreement or Last Will and Testament you create.
Investment Advisor/Manager
Wayne Bank offers personalized investment advisory or management service for individuals unable to devote the time and effort necessary to effectively manage an investment portfolio. This relationship begins with a frank and confidential discussion of your short- and long-term investment objectives, and is followed by a comprehensive review of your assets. Income is collected and proceeds are remitted to you as you request. Detailed statements of all investment transactions in your account are furnished periodically for your convenience and tax records.
We can also work with you to arrange for bill payment through your investment account.
Custodian of Your Securities
The custodial service is designed for individuals who prefer to make their own investment decisions but want to avoid the tedious and time-consuming record keeping requirements. Acting as your “financial secretary”, we provide safekeeping of your securities, execute your investment transactions, distribute or reinvest income as earned, provide statements periodically and eliminate the need for you to maintain voluminous investment files. Our custodial service is valuable for any investor whose personal and/or business interests demand the conservation of time.

Executor for Your Estate
The executor of your estate is charged with the responsibility of carrying out the provisions of your Last Will and Testament. When choosing your executor, you should look for the following qualifications:
- Technical Ability – An executor’s responsibilities require a variety of skills in the fields of taxes, accounting, and wealth management.
- Experience – Has your candidate ever been an executor before? Experience is necessary to handle the various issues which arise during the administration of an estate.
- Impartiality – Your executor should be able to balance impartiality with concern and understanding in dealing with your beneficiaries. By designating an impartial executor, potential family disputes can be avoided.
- Continuity – Simply stated, will your executor be available to see your financial plans through to their conclusion? As a corporate fiduciary, we enjoy a continuing life and hence are always available.
- Time – Your executor should have the time to make your objectives a foremost concern. While Wayne Bank generally acts as a sole executor, we welcome the opportunity to serve as co-executor with whomever you desire.
Estate and Tax Planning
The objective of estate planning is to organize your affairs and make the best possible provisions for your heirs. Taxes and administration expenses, therefore, will be minimized to the fullest practical and legal extent. Planning should be natural, fair to all concerned, and most importantly, workable so that your executor can carry out the provisions of your Last Will and Testament as directed.

Consultation To Form a Plan of Action:
The diversified collection of stocks, retirement plans, real estate, life insurance, and other assets that you accumulate are sometimes referred to as your “estate”.
A collection of assets is not the only thing you need to consider. You really need a well thought out plan and oversight with a team of experienced professionals who can help you develop that plan based on your expectations in order to establish an estate that is right for you and your heirs.
Professional Staff:
The Wealth Management & Trust Services Division at Wayne Bank has a successful track record. Our combined staff has over 90 years of experience in financial services!
With your input and our expertise we will carefully select and establish a diversified investment portfolio for you and we will supervise it – infinitely. That’s right, when you choose our Wealth Management & Trust Services, your accounts will be supervised as long as the Bank is here and so far, that has been more than 140 years!
An estate plan cannot be fully effective unless an experienced executor successfully carries out the plan and avoids costly errors. Similarly, trust plans can only be as secure as the trustee you select.
Our efforts are focused on successful investment returns and the reduction of taxation. We invite you to take the time to review your options with us. We’ll give your investment and estate plans the attention they deserve. We look forward to working with you.
