Grant from Villaume FoundationHonesdale, Pa – The Board of The John and Helen Villaume Foundation announced that the Wayne Pike Trails & Waterways Alliance was selected to receive one of the Foundation’s 2021 community grant awards.

Molly Rodgers, Ryanne Jennings, and Grant Genzlinger from the Wayne Pike Trails & Waterways Alliance were on hand to receive a check in the amount of $40,000.00 from Villaume Foundation board member, Jon Villaume.

The Wayne Pike Trails & Waterways Alliance is a group of volunteers who represent different organizations throughout Wayne and Pike Counties and share a vision of creating a multi-model trail system on river, land, and rail along the Lackawaxen River between Honesdale and Hawley. The Villaume grant will help fund the installation of boat ramps at 2 different access points in Wayne County, parking, dry compost rest stations, fencing, benches, and the like.
