Honesdale, PA – The Board of The John and Helen Villaume Foundation announced that Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pocono was selected to receive one of the Foundation’s 2021 community grant awards. Tina Skoda, Executive Director, and Diane L. Howell, Director of Finance of Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, received a check in the amount of $5,000.00 from Villaume Foundation board members, Dr. Paula Bennett and Tracy Schwarz.
Founded in 1912, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health changes lives by unlocking and nurturing human potential for people with emotional, behavioral, or cognitive differences. The funds from the Villaume Foundation grant will be used to support Devereux’s Pocono Center pre-employment training program. The program consists of instructional programs designed to teach pre-employment skills, increase self-awareness and self-confidence, provide opportunities for recreation, community integration and socialization and assist individuals to achieve their highest level of independence through personal growth. The John and Helen Villaume Foundation established by Honesdale natives, John and Helen Villaume, is dedicated to benefit charitable, religious, scientific, literary and educational programs within Wayne County.
