Wayne Bank Presents Donation to the Pennsylvania Restaurant and Lodging Association Educational Foundation

Jim Donnelly, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wayne Bank, is pleased to announce that Wayne Bank has supported the Pennsylvania Restaurant and Lodging Association Educational Foundation through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).

Joe Massaro, President and CEO of the Pennsylvania Restaurant and Lodging Association, accepted a check in the amount of $1,000, signed by Mr. Donnelly. With this donation, Wayne Bank helps the foundation to support ProStart efforts in the technical schools they work with throughout the region.

“Investing in hospitality education through organizations like the Pennsylvania Restaurant and Lodging Association Educational Foundation helps strengthen our local workforce and creates meaningful career opportunities for students across our region,” stated Mr. Donnelly. “We are honored to play a role in advancing programs like ProStart that prepare the next generation for success.”

The mission of the Pennsylvania Restaurant and Lodging Association is to connect and advance the Pennsylvania hospitality industry through community involvement, educational programming, and career development initiatives. With the help of supporters like Wayne Bank, the foundation offers scholarships for students pursuing post-secondary education, apprenticeships, Hospitality Assistance Response in PA (HARP) employee relief fund opportunities, and more.

This gift was made possible because of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program offered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, acting through the Department of Community and Economic Development.
