Wayne Bank Supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region

Jim Donnelly, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wayne Bank, is pleased to announce that Wayne Bank has supported Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region (BBBS) with a donation through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).

Amanda Dunn, Chief Advancement Officer, Amy Rote, CEO and President, and Mary Murphy, Vice President of Development, accepted a check in the amount of $1,000.00 from Mr. Donnelly. This contribution will be used to help fund BBBS mentoring programs in the EITC.

“Strong mentorship can have a lasting impact on a child’s future, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people throughout our communities,” stated Mr. Donnelly. “Wayne Bank is proud to support programs that encourage growth, confidence, and opportunity for the next generation.”

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, BBBS matches adult volunteers with children ages 5 through adulthood to develop positive relationships and life aspirations. With support from donors like Wayne Bank, BBBS can continue to reach children in communities across the United States.

This gift was made possible because of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program offered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, acting through the Department of Community and Economic Development.
