Wayne Bank Supports Women’s Resource Center of NEPA
Jim Donnelly, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wayne Bank, is pleased to announce that Wayne Bank has supported the Women’s Resource Center (WRC) of NEPA with a donation through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).
Peg Ruddy, Executive Director of the WRC, and Nancy Perri, Grants and Education Program Director, accepted a check in the amount of $5,000 from Mr. Donnelly. With this donation, Wayne Bank helps the WRC provide schools with the resources, training, and support needed to promote healthy relationships, prevent abuse, and implement positive communication strategies to students.
“We believe strong communities are built through education, support, and access to resources that help individuals and families feel safe and empowered,” stated Mr. Donnelly. “The Women’s Resource Center of NEPA continues to make a meaningful impact throughout our region, and Wayne Bank is proud to support their important mission and the programs they provide to local schools and communities.”
The WRC’s mission is to eliminate domestic violence and sexual abuse through advocacy, education, and systemic change while empowering all survivors with comprehensive services. The organization plays a big role in communities across the region, providing direct services to children and adults to support survivors and prevent incidents of domestic violence. 2026 is the WRC’s 50th anniversary, honoring over half a decade of powerful support and critical care.
Wayne Bank’s Donation will be used to provide prevention education in schools, including the WRC’s Medical Advocacy Program, Youth Empowerment Program, and many more valuable courses, policies, and trainings. This gift was made possible because of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program offered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, acting through the Department of Community and Economic Development.
